Kòr Mwen Toupatou
"My body is everywhere: the bomb which destroys my house also damages my body in so far as the house was already an indication of my body." - Jean-Paul Sartre
Kòr Mwen Toupatou / My Body is Everywhere is an on-going project which maps the Caribbean. Bringing together photographs of the remains of white colonial infrastructure. Sites which were integral to enslave the Black body whilst placing power on the West. Looking at the notion of trauma within the landscape and how it manifests throughout the region. The work was first produced and exhibited during the 5th Ghetto Biennale in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Since then, it has expanded to Guadeloupe and Martinique.
